First Road Run in Taiwan

 The same 30-min run. I sweat buckets afterwards in Singapore, but in Taiwan I don't sweat that much. It's winter. Or it's just old age, my old legs are not running the same speed as they did just a year ago.

It still feels good tho.

 Finally got the new ride from friend's studio. Nice small pocket rocket. Gonna roam the streets of Taipei together. :-)

My 200lbs Friends

 Been a great weekend with college buddies in town, acting like college kids again. Besides 1 or 2 bros, don't think our crew have really grown up yet. It doesn't look like we will get there for another 3 yrs. It'll be interesting to watch us all take that next step further into adulthood.

So for now, we are just gonna keep eating and drinking like we did 10 years ago, for this weekend. Congrats to my brothers D and R for taking that next step with your respecting life partners. For the two bros in the pic, it's time for us all to lose some weight. Hehe...

ultimate ears 600vi vs a-jays four

 Originally I had the predecessor of Ultimate Ears 600vi, until an unfortunate incident on the streets in Singapore left it broken and it was sent for warranty replacement. In its absence, I bought a-jays four, drawn mostly due to its design: flat cables & matte rubber parts. It helped that the reviews were mostly positive. 

After a few months with a-jays four, and now another few months with UE 600vi, this is my verdict: UE 600vi is here to stay. a-jays four may look nifty, but I have tried unsuccessfully to make it fit my ear and secure a snug fit for better sound isolation. the silicon tips a-jays ship are not that great. I tried Comply tips that came with UE 600vi. Didn't really help. Tried the clear silicon tips too, those helped a-jays four fit my weird ears a little better. But still, over extended period of time listening, the ergonomics of the four really doesn't help its case. The rubber casings get too close to the ears. UE 600vi is just comfortable to wear, sounds decent and blocks out the ambient noise. 

No contest really... the question now is what do I do with an extra set of in-ear headphones....
